Chances are you know someone who is fighting cancer – a friend or family member. Are you looking for a way to help? There is something you can do to support those who are fighting cancer here at home.

On November 5, 2011 Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation’s Friends of the Cancer Center will hold the sixth annual Ribbon Walk and Ride for Cancer. Proceeds from this event will directly benefit patients in need at Cape Fear Valley Cancer Center.

Through fundraisers, such as the Ribbon Walk and Ride, Friends of the Cancer Center provides prescription medicine, emergency funds for utilities, dietary supplements, transportation assistance, wigs, hats and scarves to Cancer Center patients.

More than 80 Friends of the Cancer Center volunteers nurture, support and guide cancer patients and their families through their cancer journey.
